PlayHouse Square Broadway Series - Cleveland Playhouse

The following shows have been scheduled for 2018:
(All shows start at 7:30 unless noted otherwise)

April 26 – “The 25th Annual Putnam Cty. Spelling Bee” ($48.00/pp) -
(This will be a 1:30pm matinee;

bus will leave at 11:00am & lunch will be on your own)

May 3 – “Aladdin” ($75.50/pp)
Payment is due now. Only 15 seats available for this 1:30pm matinee; bus will leave at 11:00am &
lunch will be on your own)

Tickets will be on hold for the above shows.  
Payments must be made 2 months in advance unless otherwise noted!!!

Registration & deposits are required to reserve your spots.

If you are taking a trip & parking at the Center, please use the overflow lot (northeast of building).
Space is at a minimum. Thank you!

All Trips are prepaid and pre-registered!! Pre-paying assures your spot.
Should a waiting list occur, and you have NOT paid for your trip, first paid person on the waiting list
will be given your spot

The following trips for 2018 are offered through the Fairport Senior Center:

April 10 – Historic Houses of Worship with JKL. CANCELLED

April  11  – “Men & Women Who Wine” 
This month we are scheduled to visit Hundley Cellars in Geneva. The bus will leave the Center at 11:15am.
Cost is $6.00 for transportation. Lunch will be on your own. Please pay when you sign up.

April 15-21 – New Orleans.
Cost $639 per person
(double occupancy). If you haven’t paid your balance, please do so now!
Please make your check out to Diamond Tours. There are seats available on bus #2 for anyone interested in this trip.
Our New Orleans trip meeting will be held on April 6 @ 9am. Please plan to attend this important meeting to receive your itinerary and luggage tags. If you are unable to attend, please make other arrangements.

May 2 – Cleveland Art Museum. Exhibit is “Eyewitness Views: Making History in 18th Century Europe”. The bus will leave the Center at 9:15am. Cost is $12/pp and includes transportation and your ticket. Lunch will be on your own. Please sign up and pay today.

May 9  – “Men & Women Who Wine” 
This month we will visit Debonne Vineyards in Madison. The bus will leave the Center at 11:15am. Cost is $6.00 for transportation. Lunch will be on your own. Please pay when you sign up.
May 17 – Senior Day at the Captains’ Stadium.
Cost $22 per person
and includes all you can eat buffet, your ticket to the game and transportation. Bus will leave the Center at 10:15am. You may sign up and pay now to hold your seat.

May 23 – Westside Market.
We’ll visit Westside Market and then have lunch downtown (on your own). Bus will leave the Center at 8am. Cost $6.00.

May 24 – Niagara Falls.
Spend the day on your own on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls. You can visit Goat Island, Cave of the Winds, Prospect Park, ride the Maid of the Mist, shop or try your luck at the casino. Brochures will be available along with a map. Cost is $50 per person and includes your transportation. Payment is due April 13 in order to hold your seat. The bus will leave the Center at 7:00am.

May 26-June 3 – Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands & Black Hills of South Dakota.
Highlights include visiting Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands National Park, Wall Drug Store,  tour the Wildlife Loop Road at Custer State Park, Deadwood and Crazy Horse Memorial. Includes 8 nights lodging and 14 meals. Cost of trip is $819 per person (double occupancy). Please contact John Roberts at 440-639-9111 for additional information.

June 6 – Cleveland Indians Game.
Come cheer on the Cleveland Indians vs the Brewers at Progressive Field with your friends from the Senior Center. Seats are located in the lower box and lunch will be on your own. Cost is $50/pp. Please pay when you sign up to ensure your ticket. The bus will leave the Center at 11:15am.

June 11-14 – “Atlantic City Summertime Fling”.
Round trip transportation on deluxe motorcoach, 3 nights accomodations @ Resorts International Resort & Casino, Revue Show ticket, boat cruise along the Atlantic City Boardwalk coastal area, $25.00 slot play, 2 - $30.00 meal credits buffets, private family style dinner with revue show performer meet & greet and driver gratuity. June 15 – Amish Comedy Theatre with JKL.
We’ll start at Smucker’s, then the Ashery with lunch at the Amish Door. We’ll arrive at the Amish Country Theatre of Walnut Creek around 2:30pm. Cost is $79 per person. Please sign up now and make your check out to JKL Tours.

June 20 – Miles Market, Fresh Thyme and Stouffer’s outlet.
After shopping, we’ll head to Corky & Lenny’s for lunch (on your own).
Bus will leave the Center at 8am. Cost $6.00.

June 26 – 2018 Annual Slot & Show Getaway. Round trip transportation on deluxe motorcoach to Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY, lunch buffet, show ticket for “Oh What A Night”, $20.00 slot play, and driver gratuity. July 19 – Historic & Ethnic Cleveland Part 6 with JKL.
This is a brand new tour! We’ll be visiting the International Women’s Air & Space Museum, Gravity Place of 1833, the new development of Merwin’s Wharf, go through the Duck Island neighborhood, Monroe St. Cemetery, stop at the Hildebrandt meatpacking building, explore the Little Italy of the Westside working our way through the Old Brooklyn area and through Big Italy arriving on Public Square for a buffet lunch at the Jack Casino. After lunch, we’ll begin a walking tour exploring the Halle Brothers’ Department store first floor (which has been saved). Next, we’ll see the original downtown sales & services dealership of Winton Motors.  We’ll tour the SW Center of Excellence and then take a walking tour of Public Square. Cost is $79 per person. Please make your check out to JKL. (Extensive walking…but you don’t have to walk all of it.)

July 25 – Put-in-Bay.
This trip includes transportation and the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay for a fun day on your own. The bus will leave the Center at 7:45am and arrive for the Jet Express boat at 10:15am. We will leave Put-in-Bay on the 5:45pm ferry. This was a very popular trip last year & sold out early. Please sign up and pay now to ensure your seat and ticket. Cost is $61.00/pp.

August 10 – The Lincoln Highway/Buy-Way Garage Sale with JKL.
Get a good night’s sleep, wear really good shoes and come ready to shop! (Lunch is on your own.) Sign up and pay at the Center. Make you check out to JKL Tours. Cost $39/pp and includes transportation and tip. Limited space. (Extensive walking)

September 4 – Summer Sunset in Toledo with JKL.
We’ll visit the Toledo Glass Museum and Art Museum, lunch at Tony Packo’s, ending at Lakeside with ice cream, cookies & ice tea on the porch of their 1893 hotel by the lake. More information to come.

September 30-October 6 – Branson, MO.
This trip will include the “Sight & Sound Theater”. Cost is $679 per person (double occupancy). (Trip is full, but we do have a waiting list available.)

October 4-5 – Frankenmuth, Michigan with JKL.
Two days/1 night trip to Frankenmuth with a guided tour, stay at the Bavarian Inn with dinner (and entertainment), breakfast and then head to Shipshewana, Indiana on Friday for their Annual Fall Craft Festival. Cost is $224.00 per person. Deposit of $100/pp is due April 13. Please sign up now and make your check out to JKL.

October 7-14 – Canada & New England Fall Getaway on Norwegian Cruise Line “Escape”.
Travel by motorcoach to NYC. Cruise includes stops at Portland, Bar Harbor, Bay of Fundy, St. John and Halifax. Cost is $1,769/pp for Balcony or $1,389/pp for Inside cabin. Deposit of $250 is due to hold your seat. Final payment due July 31, 2018. Only 10 cabins left. Please contact John Roberts at 440-639-9111 for reservations.

November 1-8 – Spotlight on Tuscany, Italy through Collette Tours.
Flyers are available at the Center. Only 3 spots left. Deposit is now due. Passport is required.

November 7 – Fall for Columbus with JKL.
We’ll have a driving tour of the OSU campus with stops at the new Student Union, the Horseshoe (for a group photo stop), and Conrads gift shop on Lane (souvenirs & memorabilia). Lunch at the Boat House Restaurant, mini-tour of German Village and craft shopping at the 1864 Schoolhouse where all the items are made by local area seniors. More information to come.

November 25 – “A Very Merry Pops” Christmas concert with JKL.
We’ll have main floor seats at  the Cleveland Pops Christmas concert at 2:00pm following with dinner at the Windows on the River. After dinner, we’ll drive by the lights of Public Square and the Chandelier. Cost is $85.00/pp. Please sign up today & make your check out to JKL to ensure your seat.

November/December – Jim Brickman Christmas Concert at Playhouse Square with JKL.
Date to be determined. Cost is $89.00 per person for mid-main floor seats and transportation (dinner not included). Please sign up today & make your check out to JKL.

Trips Coming In 2019

April 29-May 4, 2019 – Savannah, Jekyll Island and Charleston, SC.
Enjoy a guided trolley tour of historic Sanvannah, “the Belle of Georgia”, a guided tour of both St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island, and a relaxing Harbor Cruise in Charleston, South Carolina. Includes 5 nights lodging and 8 meals. Cost is $565/pp (double occupancy). (Diamond Tours)

May 20, 21 & 22, 2019 – Finger Lakes Winery Tour.
We are in the process of planning a trip to various winerys in the Finger Lakes of New York. Must have a minimum of 35 people. If interested, please sign up now. More information to come.

August 25 - September 3, 2019 – Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & New Brunswick plus Acadia National Park. Enjoy a 10 night trip with 5 nights in Canada. Your travel by motorcoach includes a guided tour of Acadia National Park (Maine), Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg (Nova Scotia), and Prince Edward Island (Canada). Tour also includes admission to King’s Landing Historical Settlement and Hopewell Rocks along with a visit to the Waterside Town of St. John (New Brunswick). A passport is a must! Bus Trip Guidelines

You must be able to climb the three bus steps on your own without assistance to ride the 23 passenger bus. Please know your limits. If  you rely on a wheelchair, or feel you need any assistance physically or cognitively, you must have your own able bodied caregiver for all trips.

Refund: If you must cancel a trip, we will attempt to sell your seat when possible so that you can be refunded.

Trip Insurance: Please inquire about insurance when booking a trip.
