March 30th - Good Friday

Finally, the end of winter is within our sights. It certainly has been long, snow filled months making it very hard for us seniors to get outside and do what we would have liked to do. I don’t think that I have spent so much time inside out home as we have this winter! I guess I am more conscious of the slippery conditions because of the possibility of falling, that I do not want to because I would be back to square one if I did fall. I even worry every time my husband ventures out because if he would slip and fall, I would have to call the squad to help get him up. Well, enough of dwelling on the negative aspects of winter.

If all goes according to schedule, you will be receiving a new formatted newsletter for May so look for it. It has a new name, “Harbor Connections” and will be much easier to read and enjoy. If you know anyone who would like to advertise in this newsletter, please let a board member or Chris know so we can advertise these businesses in our newsletter and help us fund this new format. But for now, enjoy the sunshine whenever it graces us with its warm rays and look forward to spring.

Lately I have been reading a lot of information on exercising as a way of prolonging one’s enjoyment of life, and I would encourage any or all of you to come to our Center and take part in all of the various exercise programs that Chris has provided for our membership.

Please look at your label and make sure 2018 is on the label as this means your dues are paid.
Wear green for our Potluck we will provide the corned beef you provide the sides.
I’m looking forward to all the trips we have planned. April is our New Orleans trip, and we have two buses leaving from Fairport – pictures will be in our June newsletter. We hope you will enjoy our new format.

We’re looking for volunteers to pick up bread once a month at Schwebel’s.
If interested, please contact me at the Center.
